no fucking way! – The Ghost Writer

Just got another request from one of my non Hungarian pal to run this blog either in English or in dual language. Guys, again, this will not happen. I can imagine posting a few in English but certainly will not run this blog in English nor in dual language. Rise from the hood homies and learn one of the most difficult but most beautiful language of the globe! I admit I had couple of posts in Spanish. Hence you can expect English. Let’s start with this. For the drafted I tell you a secret, use http://translate.google.com. It’s not 100%, and will never be, but at least you are able to catch couple of words. Don’t be picky bitch, learn it! You can start it right away here: http://www.magyarora.com/english/index.html. I don’t give a damn whether you like it or not.
Today subject is the new movie of Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor directed by Roman Polanski. So you can expect some twist, temper, love, hate, anger. These will all lead us to the dark side certainly. Brosnan is acting a British ex-prime minister charged for genocide in Iraq/Afghanistan. The usual stuff. He and his staff retired to a small island off the US coasts. As a politican he hired a writer to write a memoir for him. Her wife Ruth is an attractive and purposive lady in the background. McGregor was chosen to take this job after the previous writer was killed. Police found Mike (previous writer) on the beach dead. They found out the case to be suicide instead of homicide. McGregor took the job for 250 Grands and flew immediately from publishing company to the island. During his first days he talked very little to the ex-pm. One day he went on a short trip around the island and met an old guy who told him that Mike’s death was rather a homicide than a suicide. Mike’s car was found on the ferry. Probably he was fallen out of the ferry and the see washed him up. But he was very far from the port.
Unfortunately this turn happens around the middle of the movie. Until this point nothing happens really. From here we can follow an investigation from McGregor’s point of view who will show us the truth. What happened in the past, whether the ex-pm was guilty and who was behind all of this? And the big question, why? All important part of the movie is in the last 20-25 minutes. The movie itself is very-very slow. They could have cut it into 50 minutes without losing any important moment. Only 3-4 minutes for a driving on the road and we can listen to the new BMW driving aid system. If they put a blinking mark onto a map and move it, we’d also understood the actual moving in 5 seconds. The idea of the movie is great. The point at the end is impressive. The actors are really selected well. It was quiet long but at the end it worthed to sit through. I give 7 out of 10. Definitely not the movie of the year.
